Telekom Romania is fully committed to safeguarding the health and wellbeing of its employees and to providing secure and stable operations for our customers during this period.
First of all, Telekom Romania’ Business Continuity Management System is externally certified as applying the ISO 22301 standard and this certification was maintained from November 2014 until present. We attached the certifications in this regard.

Telekom Romania disposes of a predefined framework and supporting plans in order to guarantee a consistent and systematic method for the identification of threats/incidents and a common way of assessing the potential or actual impact with structured communication flows and clear set responsibilities. The Crisis Management Team for this situation has been activated at company level in order to offer an adequate answer to the crisis situation caused by the threat of the COVID-19 virus. A team of internal experts and Single Points of Contact per area of activity were established for continuous monitoring. Communication and decision flows were shortened to react swiftly as per the needs of the situation. Protecting the health of customers, partners and employees, as well as the continuity of the services we provide, are our top priorities. In accordance with our business continuity processes, we have activated plans to maintain business operations and continue providing our services to customers.
Observing the rapid spread of the virus in Western Europe, Romania’s authorities have chosen for a rapid response from the earliest onset of the epidemic in Romania. Since last week, after the first 25 cases of COVID-19 were observed in the country, all schools were closed and public events were forbidden.
On March 16, 2020, the state of emergency has been declared. Telekom Romania as the incumbent operator has a crucial role in supporting the country during these difficult times. Despite all the preventive measures taken by Telekom Romania, it cannot be ruled out that an expansion of the threat could lead to prioritization in terms of service assurance and service delivery.
