|Business Continuity Management Policy Statement|
As a leading provider of Telecommunications services it is essential that Telekom Romania maintain their ability to develop and deliver their key products and services in accordance with the expectations of its key interested parties.
As such, it is the policy of Telekom Romania to maintain a Business Continuity capability to ensure the prompt and efficient recovery of essential operations from any incident or physical disaster occurring at any of its premises.
In order to be able to do this, Telekom Romania have established a framework and supporting plans so that there is a consistent and systematic method for the identification of threats/incidents and a common way of assessing the potential or actual impact and therefore who should be informed and who should be managing the situation.
Telekom Romania’ BCMS is following the relevant standard, i.e. ISO 22301:2012.
Incident/Crisis Management - sometimes referred to as Incident Management, is the over¬arching process that provides the appropriate leadership, decision making and management of the wider impact of a crisis, including crisis communications and media handling.
The Crisis Management Plan is owned by the Crisis Management Team (CMT) of each OTE Group affiliate. The OTE Group CMT will provide a point of escalation and a source of strategic level support to the affiliates when required to do so.
The Telekom Romania’ Business Continuity Management System's aim, in response to a significant disruption (whether actual or impending), will always be to:
•Ensure the safety of the Company’s employees and other occupants or visitors within the buildings;
•Endeavour to meet our obligations to employees, customers, shareholders and other interested parties;
•Minimize disruption to our customers and to protect and preserve our assets and reputation;
•Facilitate a return to normal operations as soon as practicable;
•Stay in business.
The Telekom Romania’ Business Continuity Management System Key Objectives are to:
•Ensure the availability of company’s products, services and key business functions in-line with key stakeholders’ expectations considering business objectives.
•Maintain the organization certification as a prerequisite for auctions or contracts and as well as to ensure a good reputation on the market.
